This explains what personal information Shoes Blvd collects, why, who we share it with and your rights. Shoes Blvd, Dubai, UAE, trade licence no. [LICENCE NO.], is responsible for your information.

1. What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, mobile number, and delivery address (country, area, street, postcode).
  • Your public bidder name, shown next to your bids.
  • Activity: your bids, orders, payments status, giveaway entries, chat messages, and your settings (such as language and email preferences).
  • Payment information is handled by Ziina. We receive a payment reference and whether the payment succeeded. We never see or store your card number.
  • Basic technical information needed to run the site safely, such as login sessions and error logs.

2. Why we use it

  • To run your account and let you bid, buy and enter giveaways.
  • To take payment, and to ship your orders to you.
  • To send you emails about your activity: outbid alerts (you can turn these off in your Account), wins, payment reminders, and shipping updates.
  • To keep auctions fair: to spot fake or duplicate accounts and prevent fraud.
  • To meet our legal and tax obligations in the UAE.

3. Who we share it with

We only share what each service needs to do its job. We never sell your information.

  • Ziina, to take payments.
  • Resend, to send our emails.
  • Supabase (database and login) and Vercel (website hosting), which store and run the site. Their servers may be outside the UAE.
  • Couriers, who receive your name, mobile number and address to deliver your order.
  • WhatsApp (Meta), only if we add WhatsApp alerts later and you turn them on. They would then receive your mobile number and the alert text.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it.
  • Your bidder name (not your real name) is public next to your bids.

4. Cookies

  • We use cookies and similar browser storage only to make the site work: to keep you logged in, remember your language, keep your shop bag, and remember that you've seen the cookie notice.
  • We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

5. How long we keep it

  • Account details: while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your details within [DELETE DAYS] days.
  • Orders, payments and invoices: [RECORDS YEARS] years, as UAE tax and commercial record-keeping rules require.
  • Bids stay part of the auction history, shown only with your bidder name.

6. Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is wrong (you can also edit your details on your Account page);
  • delete your information, unless we must keep it by law (for example order records);
  • stop or limit certain uses, or withdraw consent you gave (such as outbid emails).

7. Security

Your information is protected with access rules, so only you and the Shoes Blvd team can see your private details. Connections to the site are encrypted.
